Here are some pictures of the 2000+ person manifestación that blocked the bridge between Ciudad del Este and Foz do Iguaçu for an hour and a half on Thursday. It promptly ended 10 minutes past 10 and I followed the Paraguayan groups (much thinned out) to the Plaza de la Paz where campesino movement leaders (almost exclusively male) spoke heavy Guaraní (as opposed to the Spanish which dominated the speeches on the bridge) to the crowd, calling for reforma agraria integral and renegotiation of the Itaipú treaty.
